S.B. No. 541




AN ACT

relating to posting on the Internet information regarding certain 
residential property held by an appraisal district.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Chapter 25, Tax Code, is amended by adding 
Section 25.027 to read as follows:
	Sec. 25.027.  INFORMATION REGARDING CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL 
PROPERTY.  (a)  Information in appraisal records may not be posted 
on the Internet if the information is a photograph, sketch, or floor 
plan of an improvement to real property that is designed primarily 
for use as a human residence.
	(b)  This section does not apply to an aerial photograph that 
depicts five or more separately owned buildings.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
