AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to seat belt requirements for certain vehicles. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subsection (f), Section 547.701, Transportation |
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) A school district is required to comply with Subsection |
|
|
(e) only to the extent that the legislature has appropriated money |
|
|
for the purpose of reimbursing school districts for expenses |
|
|
incurred in complying with Subsection (e) [Texas Education Agency
|
|
|
pays or commits to pay the district for expenses incurred in
|
|
|
complying with that subsection.
The Texas Education Agency may
|
|
|
make grants of appropriated money for the purpose of paying school
|
|
|
districts under this subsection]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
