        relating to the Internet posting of certain information regarding  |

        state grants. |

               BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
               SECTION 1.  Subchapter B, Chapter 403, Government Code, is  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        amended by adding Section 403.0245 to read as follows: | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
               Sec. 403.0245.  AVAILABILITY ON INTERNET OF CERTAIN  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        INFORMATION ON STATE GRANTS.  (a)   | 
      
      
        | 
           		
			 | 
        In this section, "state agency"  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        has the meaning assigned by Section 403.013. | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
               (b)  A state agency that awards a state grant in an amount  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        greater than $25,000 shall make available to the public on the  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        agency's generally accessible Internet website the purposes for  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        which the grant was awarded. The agency shall provide to the  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        comptroller a link to the information in order for the comptroller  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        to maintain the information on the comptroller's Internet website  | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
        through a central Internet portal. | 
      
      
        | 
           
			 | 
               SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
