AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to fees of office for directors of groundwater |
|
|
conservation districts. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 36.060(a), Water Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
(a) A director is entitled to receive fees of office of not |
|
|
more than $250 [$150] a day for each day the director actually |
|
|
spends performing the duties of a director. The fees of office may |
|
|
not exceed $9,000 a year. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act applies only to a fee paid to a director |
|
|
of a groundwater conservation district for duties performed on or |
|
|
after the effective date of this Act. A fee paid for duties |
|
|
performed before that date is governed by the law in effect on the |
|
|
date the duties are performed, and that law is continued in effect |
|
|
for that purpose. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
