No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to expand an existing prohibition against employers discharging employees due to jury service in a Texas court to additional negative employment actions. The bill would also extend these prohibitions for participation in any jury service in the United States.
