Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 6, 2019, and permission granted on May 6, 2019, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Canales, at 8:50 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Canales; Landgraf; Bernal; Davis, Yvonne; Hefner; Krause; Leman; Martinez; Ortega; Raney; Thierry; and Thompson, Ed.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 357

 

The chair laid out SB 357, companion to HB 3368.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 357, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Canales; Landgraf; Bernal; Hefner; Krause; Leman; Martinez; Ortega; Raney; Thompson, Ed (10).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Davis, Yvonne; Thierry (2).

The chair laid out HB 3446 as pending business.

 

Representative Landgraf offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Landgraf moved that HB 3446, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
