A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the members of the governing body of an independent |
|
|
organization certified for the ERCOT power region. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 39.1513(d), Utilities Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) The committee shall select members eligible under |
|
|
Section 39.151 to serve on the governing body of an independent |
|
|
organization certified under that section for the ERCOT power |
|
|
region and shall designate the chair and vice chair of the governing |
|
|
body from those members. When selecting members to serve on the |
|
|
governing body, the committee shall ensure that the governing body |
|
|
includes members who represent the various geographic regions of |
|
|
this state. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the |
|
|
last day of the legislative session. |
