R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Alexander R. Kalota is retiring from the Mesquite |
|
|
Police Department on July 31, 2021, after 38 years of exemplary |
|
|
service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In the course of his tenure, Officer Kalota has |
|
|
served the Mesquite PD as a patrol officer with the operations |
|
|
bureau, as a field training officer, and as a burglary and theft |
|
|
investigator; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected and admired by his fellow officers, this |
|
|
esteemed first responder has earned numerous accolades and |
|
|
commendations over the years, including two Life Saving Awards and |
|
|
a Field Training Officer of the Year award as well as a Civic |
|
|
Achievement Award from the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Officer Kalota has enjoyed the |
|
|
love and support of his wife, Lesa Kalota, and he takes great pride |
|
|
in his stepsons, Cameron and Sterling Cooper; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For nearly four decades, Alexander Kalota has |
|
|
exemplified the highest ideals of the law enforcement profession |
|
|
and contributed immeasurably to the safety and well-being of |
|
|
Mesquite residents, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his |
|
|
notable record of achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Alexander |
|
|
R. Kalota on his retirement from the Mesquite Police Department and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Officer Kalota as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
