R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The thousands of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Texas
  have created a tremendous void in families, communities, and
  workplaces throughout the state; among those who lost their lives
  in the pandemic was Clemente Rocha III, a dedicated and
  well-respected employee of the Texas Department of Criminal
  Justice, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 54; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rocha enjoyed a rewarding career with the
  Windham School District that spanned 25 years; he served as a
  vocational teacher at the Fabian Dale Dominguez State Jail, where
  he taught classes in computer aided drafting; in his leisure time,
  he delighted in playing golf, listening to music, barbecuing, and
  building model planes; and
         WHEREAS, Sustained by a deep faith, Mr. Rocha considered his
  wife, Yvette, and his daughters, Cassandra and Crystal, to be his
  greatest blessings; among his many achievements, he received the
  2008-2009 Lane Murray Excellence in Teaching Award from the Windham
  School District in recognition of his steadfast commitment to his
  students and to the highest standards of his profession; and
         WHEREAS, Clemente Rocha faithfully and ably performed his
  duties throughout his tenure with the Texas Department of Criminal
  Justice, and he will long be remembered with great admiration by all
  who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Clemente Rocha III and extend deepest sympathy to his family,
  friends, and colleagues; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Clemente
  Rocha.
