R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, James Lovett of Bay City, a retired game warden, |
|
passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving his loved |
|
ones with a wealth of memories to cherish; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on October 22, 1955, Jim Lovett was the son of |
|
William and Dorothy Lovett and the brother of seven siblings, Joe, |
|
Anne, Kathleen, Mary, Laura, Amy, and Teresa; after graduating from |
|
Jasper High School in 1973, he enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State |
|
University and earned his bachelor's degree in 1979; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Lovett was a longtime resident of Bay City, |
|
where he served his fellow citizens for over two decades as a Texas |
|
game warden; during his leisure hours, he took pleasure in hunting, |
|
fishing, and playing golf, and he also loved race cars; and |
|
WHEREAS, Jim Lovett lived an honorable life of service to his |
|
fellow Texans, and he will always be remembered with admiration and |
|
affection by those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|
of James Lovett and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his |
|
family: to his mother, Dorothy Lovett; to his brother, Joe Lovett; |
|
to his sisters, Anne Williams and her husband, Gary, Kathleen |
|
Hughes and her husband, David, Mary Mitchell and her husband, Mike, |
|
Laura Burnett and her husband, Phil, Amy Racke and her husband, |
|
Mike, and Teresa McElroy; and to his other relatives and friends; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James |
|
Lovett. |
