R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
  passing of Michael Luther Walker of Jefferson on August 23, 2021, at
  the age of 65; and
         WHEREAS, Mike Walker was born in Oregon on October 12, 1955,
  to Edgar Curtis Walker Sr. and Rosemary Maxwell Walker, and he grew
  up with the companionship of two siblings, Charlotte and Eddie;
  after graduating from Marshall High School in 1974, he earned a
  degree in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University; and
         WHEREAS, Following in his father's footsteps, Mr. Walker
  enrolled in the Texas Game Warden Academy; he spent 25 years with
  the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, serving as a game warden in
  Chambers County and later in Marion County before his retirement in
  2003; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Walker enjoyed the love
  and support of his wife, Carol, and he took great pride in his
  children, James and Terra, and his grandchildren, Remington and
  Walker; in his leisure time, he delighted in hunting, fishing,
  boating, and cooking for his family; and
         WHEREAS, Admired for his selflessness and generosity, Mike
  Walker lived a caring and purposeful life, and he leaves behind a
  record of service that his loved ones can remember with pride; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Michael Luther Walker and extend heartfelt sympathy to the
  members of his family: to his wife, Carol Walker; to his son, James
  Walker, and his wife, Meagan; to his daughter, Terra Croley, and her
  husband, Jeff; to his grandchildren, Remington and Walker; to his
  sister, Charlotte Garcia, and her husband, Agustin; to his brother,
  Eddie Walker, and his wife, Pat; to his nieces, Melissa Armenta and
  her husband, Joe, and Sara Walker; to his nephews, Jon Eric Garcia
  and his wife, Loreta, Chad Walker, and Harris McKnight; and to his
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mike
  Walker.
