R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, ChildCareGroup marked its 120th anniversary in
  2021, and the organization is celebrating that impressive milestone
  at its annual meeting on January 12, 2022; and
         WHEREAS, Recognized as the oldest and largest early childhood
  education provider in North Texas, ChildCareGroup is also
  considered to be the first settlement house in Texas; it traces its
  origins to 1901, when the Clara Chaison Free Kindergarten and
  Training School of Dallas was established to train kindergarten
  teachers and to educate and provide care for the children of women
  who worked in local cotton mills; since its humble beginnings, CCG
  has exponentially expanded its services and today provides
  assistance to more than 60,000 youth, parents, and early childhood
  professionals in North, Southeast, and Central Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Ably led by president and chief executive officer
  Tori Mannes, CCG continues to fulfill its mission of helping
  families thrive by offering high-quality education, convenient,
  safe, and affordable childcare, and nutrition and medical services;
  working to end the cycle of intergenerational poverty, the
  organization utilizes a research-based two-generation approach
  that combines holistic early childhood programs with support
  services for parents; and
         WHEREAS, For well over a century, ChildCareGroup has
  demonstrated an exceptional commitment to meeting the diverse
  educational needs of children across the Lone Star State, and in so
  doing, it has helped empower young Texans to become productive
  contributors to society while building a brighter future for their
  families; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate
  ChildCareGroup on its 120th anniversary and extend to all those
  associated with the organization sincere best wishes for continued
  success with their important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for ChildCareGroup as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
