R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The annual Mansfield Independent School District |
|
Back-to-School Bash brings members of the community together for a |
|
day of family fun that benefits students of all ages; and |
|
WHEREAS, Among the many free items provided at the event are |
|
backpacks filled with school supplies, shoes, and such health |
|
services as sports physicals, immunizations, and eye exams; parents |
|
have the opportunity to meet with campus representatives, and civic |
|
groups and business representatives are on hand to provide |
|
additional information about relevant services and products; |
|
students can also participate in a variety of activities and games; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Ably guided by superintendent Dr. Kimberley Cantu, |
|
Mansfield ISD fosters a challenging and supportive learning |
|
environment for a diverse and multicultural population of more than |
|
35,000 students; located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the |
|
district encompasses 49 campuses that include prekindergarten, |
|
STEM, and career and technology academies, an alternative education |
|
center, and an early college high school; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Mansfield ISD Back-to-School Bash is a |
|
much-anticipated celebration of a new school year, and the |
|
district's outstanding reputation is a source of tremendous pride |
|
for the community; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the annual |
|
Mansfield Independent School District Back-to-School Bash and |
|
extend to all those associated with the district sincere best |
|
wishes for a successful school year; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mansfield ISD as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
