R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Briana Gonzalez has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
an intern in the office of State Representative Jim Murphy in |
|
|
October 2021 during the 87th Legislature, 3rd Called Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of her internship, Ms. Gonzalez has |
|
|
provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of |
|
|
administrative tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in |
|
|
the field of public service, she has learned more about the |
|
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
|
State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Gonzalez is a senior at Rowlett High School, |
|
|
where she serves as chaplain of the choir and is a member of the |
|
|
Rowlett Student Vocal Performers, the National Honor Society, and |
|
|
the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; she is also a valued |
|
|
congregant of The Northeast Church in Garland and participates in |
|
|
the worship team at True Life Church in Mesquite; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Briana Gonzalez for |
|
|
her service as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Jim Murphy and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
