R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss
  with the tragic death of Nick Rodriguez of Pasadena on October 1,
  2021, at the age of 23; and
         WHEREAS, Born on May 14, 1998, to Martha Herrera and Nicolas
  Rodriguez, Nick Rodriguez grew up with the companionship of his
  three siblings, Lucy, Sergio, and Roman; he was a survivor of
  childhood leukemia, and his experience dealing with this adversity
  led him to study music therapy at Sam Houston State University in
  hopes of helping other patients; he was passionate about music, and
  he was a gifted cellist; and
         WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Mr. Rodriguez was
  working as a valet attendant at a local sports bar; he enjoyed
  playing tennis and video games and being in the outdoors, and he
  cherished the time he spent with his loved ones; he was known for
  his easygoing personality and his wonderful sense of humor, which
  lifted the spirits of everyone around him; and
         WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, those who were
  fortunate enough to know Nick Rodriguez will forever treasure their
  memories of the love and laughter he shared with them; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Nick Rodriguez and extend profound condolences to all those who
  mourn his passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nick
  Rodriguez.
