R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Honorable Jim Huff has ably served the citizens |
|
|
of Live Oak County as county judge for 34 years, and his knowledge |
|
|
and dedication have earned him the respect of many people along the |
|
|
way; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since taking office in 1987, Judge Huff has |
|
|
distinguished himself through his outstanding service as presiding |
|
|
officer of the commissioners court and through his astute |
|
|
leadership of county government operations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Live Oak County, Judge Huff attended |
|
|
Texas A&M University; prior to his election to the bench, he worked |
|
|
in law enforcement in Nueces and Live Oak Counties; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure as a public servant, |
|
|
Jim Huff has made many significant contributions to the betterment |
|
|
of life in his community, and he may take justifiable pride in his |
|
|
exemplary record of achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Jim Huff on |
|
|
his retirement as Live Oak County judge and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Judge Huff as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
