R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Donna Mills is retiring as the Precinct 2 |
|
|
commissioner for the Live Oak County Commissioners Court at the end |
|
|
of her current term, drawing to a close an exemplary tenure that has |
|
|
spanned nearly a decade and a half; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, First elected as the Live Oak County Precinct 2 |
|
|
commissioner in November 2006, Donna Mills took office on January |
|
|
1, 2007; among her many achievements, she has taken special pride in |
|
|
the assistance that the county provides to seniors and to residents |
|
|
in need; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In holding a county commissioner's seat, Ms. Mills |
|
|
has followed the example set by her parents, Hilbert and Barbara |
|
|
Jean Kopplin, who also served on the court and who instilled in |
|
|
their daughter the importance of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The dedication, professionalism, and commitment to |
|
|
excellence that Donna Mills has demonstrated have greatly benefited |
|
|
the residents of Live Oak County, and her contributions will |
|
|
continue to resonate in the community in the years to come; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Donna Mills on |
|
|
her retirement as the Precinct 2 commissioner for the Live Oak |
|
|
County Commissioners Court and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Mills as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
