Committee Report (Unamended) |
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
The Purple Heart Trail is a national symbolic and honorary system of roads, highways, bridges, and other monuments that give tribute to the men and women who have been awarded the Purple Heart medal. There have been calls to expand the Texas portion of the trail to honor Purple Heart recipients in Bell and Williamson counties. H.B. 3067 seeks to answer these calls by including State Highway 195 among the highways designated as part of the Texas portion of the trail.
