BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
The statutory list of historic sites and parks under Texas Historical Commission jurisdiction needs to be revised to reflect historic sites recently transferred, acquired, or created. C.S.H.B. 3706 makes this revision.

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.

ANALYSIS
C.S.H.B. 3706 amends the Government Code to specify the following sites as being under Texas Historical Commission jurisdiction: · Goodnight Ranch State Historic Site; · Old Socorro Mission State Historic Site; and · Palmito Ranch Battlefield State Historic Site. The bill updates certain historic site names.
