A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the applicability to open-enrollment charter schools of |
|
|
certain law regarding travel expenses. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 12.1058, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) An open-enrollment charter school and an officer or |
|
|
employee of an open-enrollment charter school are subject to |
|
|
Section 660.093, Government Code, as though the school were a state |
|
|
agency and the officer or employee were a state employee if using |
|
|
state funds to pay or reimburse for the travel of the officer or |
|
|
employee. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
