A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the expiration of a school marshal license issued or |
|
|
renewed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1701.260(g), Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) A person's license under this section expires on August |
|
|
31 following [the first birthday of the person occurring after] the |
|
|
second anniversary of the date the commission licenses the person. |
|
|
A renewed school marshal license expires on August 31 [the person's |
|
|
birth date], two years after the expiration of the previous |
|
|
license. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 1701.260(g), Occupations Code, as |
|
|
amended by this Act, applies to a license issued or renewed under |
|
|
that section regardless of whether the license was issued or |
|
|
renewed before, on, or after the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
