A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to bag and length limits for certain fish. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 66, Parks and Wildlife |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 66.025 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 66.025. BAG AND LENGTH LIMITS FOR CERTAIN FISH. The |
|
|
commission shall adopt rules for the possession of black and white |
|
|
crappie, including hybrids and subspecies, that establish: |
|
|
(1) a daily bag limit of 15 fish; |
|
|
(2) a minimum length limit of 12 inches; and |
|
|
(3) no maximum length limit. |
|
|
SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date |
|
|
of this Act, the Parks and Wildlife Commission shall adopt or amend |
|
|
rules as necessary to comply with the changes in law made by this |
|
|
Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
