A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the payment methods for cigarette and tobacco products |

|
permit fees. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 154.1135(b), Tax Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
(b) The payment must be made in cash or by money order, [or] |
|
|
check, or credit card. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 155.050(b), Tax Code, is amended to read |
|
|
as follows: |
|
|
(b) The payment must be made in cash or by money order, [or] |
|
|
check, or credit card. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
