relating to the disposition of surplus property by public academic |

libraries. |

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 2175, Subtitle D, Title |
|
|
10, Government Code, is amended by adding Section 2175.309 to read |
|
|
as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 2175.309. EXCEPTION FOR ACADEMIC LIBRARY SURPLUS |
|
|
PROPERTY |
|
|
(a) This chapter does not apply to disposition of surplus |
|
|
property by state-funded academic libraries. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
