A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to fees levied by municipalities and counties for |
|
|
alcoholic beverage permits and licenses. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 11.38, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(a-1) The fee authorized by Subsection (a) for a permit |
|
|
effective in statute on or after September 1, 2021, may not exceed |
|
|
10 percent of the fee set by rule for the permit. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 61.36, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(a-1) The fee authorized by Subsection (a) for a license |
|
|
effective in statute on or after September 1, 2021, may not exceed |
|
|
10 percent of the fee set by rule for the license. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
