R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Gene Huffaker concluded his tenure as constable for |
|
Precinct 4 in Kerr County on December 31, 2020, drawing to a close a |
|
notable career in public service that spanned more than four |
|
decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, Appointed in 2011, this esteemed law enforcement |
|
professional was chosen to complete the unexpired term of former |
|
Constable Robert Terrill by the Kerr County Commissioners Court; he |
|
fulfilled his duties with distinction, earning the respect and |
|
admiration of his constituents, who subsequently reelected him two |
|
times; and |
|
WHEREAS, Constable Huffaker brought to his post a wealth of |
|
experience gained while working as a peace officer in the Kerr |
|
County Sheriff's Office, the Kerrville Police Department, and the |
|
Uvalde County Sheriff's Office; and |
|
WHEREAS, Gene Huffaker's dedication, professionalism, and |
|
commitment to public safety have greatly benefited the citizens of |
|
Kerr County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well |
|
spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gene Huffaker on retiring as the |
|
constable for Precinct 4 in Kerr County and extend to him sincere |
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Constable Huffaker as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
