R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Jewell Marie Pardo of San Antonio on February 24, 2021,
  at the age of 91; and
         WHEREAS, The former Jewell Teeler, who was affectionately
  known as "Snookie," was born in Buda on July 31, 1929, to Rueben and
  Stella Teeler, and she grew up with the companionship of four
  siblings, Clifford, Kenneth, Billie, and Don Ray; in 1947, she was
  joined in matrimony to Charles Pardo, and the couple shared a
  fulfilling union that spanned more than five decades until his
  passing; she took great pride in her two children, Donald and Lisa,
  and through the years, she had the pleasure of seeing her family
  grow to include five grandchildren, Kristopher, Ashley, Erin,
  Joshua, and Emily, and four great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Pardo worked as a sales associate for Dillard's
  department store for many years, and she was often named Employee of
  the Month for the joy she took in caring for her customers; a woman
  of faith, she was a founding member of Concordia Lutheran Church and
  later became a valued congregant of Christ Our Savior Lutheran
  Church; and
         WHEREAS, Jewell Pardo enjoyed a life that was rich in the
  intangibles that matter most, and she is deeply missed by all those
  who held her dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jewell Marie Pardo
  and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jewell
  Pardo.
