R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Patrick
  Alan McKissick of Waxahachie, who died on February 7, 2021, at the
  age of 36; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Javier and Lorrie Gonzales, Patrick
  McKissick was born in Dallas on October 6, 1984; he grew up in
  DeSoto and Maypearl with two brothers, Javi and Nicholas, and a
  sister, Jessica, and he graduated from Maypearl High School in
  2003; and
         WHEREAS, A valued employee of McKissick Construction in Ellis
  and Dallas Counties, Mr. McKissick was skilled at every aspect of
  his trade, from drafting to building a shed to remodeling a home;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. McKissick was also a gifted cook who delighted
  in making meals for his family and treating his nieces and nephew to
  sweets; kind, generous, and funny, he liked meeting people, and he
  particularly enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for the Dallas Cowboys;
  and
         WHEREAS, Although Patrick McKissick's life ended far too
  soon, memories of joyful times spent in his company will remain to
  comfort all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Patrick Alan
  McKissick and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his
  family: to his parents, Javier and Lorrie Gonzales; to his
  siblings, Javi, Nicholas and his wife, McKenzie, and Jessica and
  her husband, Travis; to his nephew, Jaxon, and his nieces, Julia and
  Jolie; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Patrick
  McKissick.
