R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Patrick |
|
Alan McKissick of Waxahachie, who died on February 7, 2021, at the |
|
age of 36; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Javier and Lorrie Gonzales, Patrick |
|
McKissick was born in Dallas on October 6, 1984; he grew up in |
|
DeSoto and Maypearl with two brothers, Javi and Nicholas, and a |
|
sister, Jessica, and he graduated from Maypearl High School in |
|
2003; and |
|
WHEREAS, A valued employee of McKissick Construction in Ellis |
|
and Dallas Counties, Mr. McKissick was skilled at every aspect of |
|
his trade, from drafting to building a shed to remodeling a home; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. McKissick was also a gifted cook who delighted |
|
in making meals for his family and treating his nieces and nephew to |
|
sweets; kind, generous, and funny, he liked meeting people, and he |
|
particularly enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for the Dallas Cowboys; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Patrick McKissick's life ended far too |
|
soon, memories of joyful times spent in his company will remain to |
|
comfort all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Patrick Alan |
|
McKissick and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his |
|
family: to his parents, Javier and Lorrie Gonzales; to his |
|
siblings, Javi, Nicholas and his wife, McKenzie, and Jessica and |
|
her husband, Travis; to his nephew, Jaxon, and his nieces, Julia and |
|
Jolie; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Patrick |
|
McKissick. |
