R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Woman's Hospital of Texas in Houston has earned |
|
|
a Level IV Maternal Designation from the Texas Department of State |
|
|
Health Services; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This prestigious recognition is awarded to |
|
|
facilities that go above and beyond the state's minimum hospital |
|
|
licensure requirements; the highest level of care recognized by the |
|
|
Texas Department of State Health Services, the designation reflects |
|
|
an institution's outstanding dedication to providing excellent |
|
|
care to maternity patients and confirms that patients have access |
|
|
to a comprehensive range of medical and maternal subspecialists, |
|
|
including surgical specialists, behavioral health providers, and |
|
|
maternal fetal medicine; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to its outstanding maternity and |
|
|
postpartum care, The Woman's Hospital of Texas offers a wide range |
|
|
of services in areas such as breast health, gynecology, |
|
|
minimally-invasive surgery, and pediatrics, and the facility is |
|
|
designated as an Advanced Level IV Neonatal facility by the |
|
|
Department of State Health Services; moreover, the hospital |
|
|
received a 2020 Women's Care Specialty Excellence Award in |
|
|
Obstetrics and Gynecology, Labor and Delivery, and Gynecologic |
|
|
Surgery; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The physicians, staff, and administrators at The |
|
|
Woman's Hospital of Texas have worked tirelessly to ensure skilled |
|
|
and compassionate care for their patients, and the hospital's |
|
|
receipt of a Level IV Maternal Designation is a testament to their |
|
|
ongoing commitment to excellence; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate The Woman's Hospital of Texas on |
|
|
its designation as a Level IV maternity facility by the Texas |
|
|
Department of State Health Services and extend to all those |
|
|
associated with the hospital sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success with their important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for The Woman's Hospital of Texas as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
