R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Stephanie Kelley has been named the 2020-2021 |
|
|
Teacher of the Year at Bruce Shulkey Elementary School in the Fort |
|
|
Worth Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Kelley currently teaches fourth-grade math and |
|
|
science at Bruce Shulkey Elementary, bringing to that role a wealth |
|
|
of experience from her 29 years in education; known for always going |
|
|
above and beyond for her students, she has successfully balanced |
|
|
the needs of in-person and virtual learners during the COVID-19 |
|
|
pandemic, and she chaired the committee for this year's virtual |
|
|
food drive, which raised hundreds of dollars for the Tarrant County |
|
|
Food Bank; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Stephanie Kelley exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Stephanie Kelley on her selection |
|
|
as the 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year at Bruce Shulkey Elementary |
|
|
School and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
with her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Kelley as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
