R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to |
|
a close with the passing of Captain Randal Dwayne Robinson of the |
|
Fort Worth Fire Department on December 17, 2020, at the age of 64; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Guy and Wyvonne Willis Robinson, Randy |
|
Robinson was born in Mineral Wells on March 10, 1956; he grew up in |
|
Fort Worth with the companionship of a brother, Robert, and he |
|
graduated from Haltom High School in 1974; and |
|
WHEREAS, In 1981, Mr. Robinson joined the Fort Worth Fire |
|
Department, where he served for 39 years; he instructed and |
|
mentored firefighters in the training academy and was the air crash |
|
captain at Station 35 at Fort Worth Alliance Airport for the past |
|
two decades; in addition to his career as a firefighter, he worked |
|
as an endoscopy nurse at the Digestive Health Center of Bedford for |
|
19 years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Captain Robinson and his former wife, Nancy |
|
Robinson, were blessed with two children, Lauren and Brian; he |
|
later enjoyed the love and support of Lorelei Mauldin, with whom he |
|
shared his life for 12 years until her passing in August 2020; |
|
through the years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to |
|
include three grandchildren, Brooke, Luke, and Liam; and |
|
WHEREAS, Admired for his strength and integrity, Randy |
|
Robinson lived a caring and purposeful life, and he leaves behind a |
|
record of service that his loved ones can remember with pride; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Captain Randal |
|
Dwayne Robinson and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his |
|
passing; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Captain |
|
Randy Robinson. |
