R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Linda Fincher Nevil of Anna, who passed away on June 2, 2020, at |
|
the age of 73; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of William and Martha Fincher, the |
|
former Linda Fincher was born on February 25, 1947, in Shreveport, |
|
Louisiana, and grew up with three sisters, Nancy, Martha, and |
|
Debbie; she graduated from Baylor University in 1969 and spent most |
|
of her life in the Dallas area; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Nevil was blessed with |
|
the love and support of her husband, Mike Nevil, with whom she |
|
shared a rewarding marriage that spanned half a century; she was the |
|
devoted mother of two children, Brad and Celeste, and she took great |
|
pride in her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Gran |
|
Gran"; a woman of strong faith, she believed deeply in the power of |
|
prayer, and she brightened many lives with her beautiful smile and |
|
angelic voice; and |
|
WHEREAS, Linda Nevil showered those she held dear with |
|
unconditional love, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and |
|
compassion that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate |
|
enough to know her; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Linda Fincher Nevil |
|
and extend heartfelt sympathy to her relatives and friends; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Linda |
|
Nevil. |
