            |  | R E S O L U T I O N | 
         
            |  | WHEREAS, A radiant and meaningful life drew to a close far too | 
         
            |  | soon with the passing of Dylan Wayne Dorrell of Denton on August 13, | 
         
            |  | 2020, at the age of 17; and | 
         
            |  | WHEREAS, The son of Lisa and Gus Dorrell, Dylan Dorrell was | 
         
            |  | born on February 2, 2003; and | 
         
            |  | WHEREAS, Mr. Dorrell was an incoming senior at Guyer High | 
         
            |  | School, where he was a member of the Class of 2021; a gifted | 
         
            |  | athlete, he was a four-year member of the cross country team and was | 
         
            |  | known for his strong work ethic and commitment to improving every | 
         
            |  | detail of his performance; he also belonged to several school clubs | 
         
            |  | and devoted himself to his animation classes; and | 
         
            |  | WHEREAS, Admired by his classmates, teachers, and coaches, | 
         
            |  | Mr. Dorrell possessed a positive outlook and always had a smile on | 
         
            |  | his face; loving and kind, he was a caring friend and never | 
         
            |  | hesitated to help anyone in need; he took great pleasure in drawing | 
         
            |  | and was an avid fan of Pokemon, Super Smash Bros., and Star Wars, | 
         
            |  | even building his own light sabers from scratch; in all his | 
         
            |  | endeavors, he charted his own course and was beloved for his | 
         
            |  | originality; and | 
         
            |  | WHEREAS, Dylan Dorrell immeasurably enriched the lives of all | 
         
            |  | who had the good fortune to share in his love and friendship, and | 
         
            |  | they will forever carry him close in their hearts; now, therefore, | 
         
            |  | be it | 
         
            |  | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | 
         
            |  | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dylan Wayne Dorrell | 
         
            |  | and extend deepest condolences to his parents, relatives, and many | 
         
            |  | friends; and, be it further | 
         
            |  | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | 
         
            |  | prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | 
         
            |  | Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dylan | 
         
            |  | Dorrell. |
