R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the heartache felt |
|
by the loved ones of Levi James Drew of Dalhart, who passed away on |
|
September 25, 2020, at the age of 11; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Riverside, California, on April 24, 2009, to |
|
Kenneth and Yolanda Drew, Levi grew up with the companionship of |
|
five older siblings, Elijah, Jacob, Zac, Hannah, and Lily; when he |
|
was just five months old, the Drew family moved to the Dalhart area; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Levi attended school in Hartley, where he won the |
|
affection of his classmates with his contagious smile; he naturally |
|
excelled at strategy games and online games, and he also loved |
|
animals; baptized by his father in December 2017, he was an active |
|
member of Hillside Christian Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although the passing of Levi Drew is an incalculable |
|
loss to the many people who loved and cherished him, they will |
|
forever keep his memory alive in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Levi James Drew and |
|
extend deepest condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
mother, Yolanda Drew; to his father, Ken Drew; to his grandmothers, |
|
Louise Drew and Frieda Weststeyn; to his brothers, Elijah, Jacob, |
|
and Zac; to his sisters, Hannah and Lily; and to his other relatives |
|
and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Levi Drew. |
