R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Citlali Botello has been named the 2021 Outstanding |
|
|
Student at Amarillo College Moore County Campus; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Botello was nominated for the honor by four |
|
|
different ACMCC faculty members, and her exemplary academic |
|
|
performance and involvement in campus and community activities |
|
|
earned her the prestigious distinction; in addition to conducting |
|
|
campus tours and leading tutoring and study groups as a student |
|
|
ambassador, she has participated in events such as the United Way |
|
|
Day of Caring and the Dogie Days parade; over the course of her time |
|
|
at the college, she has also earned repeated placement on the dean's |
|
|
list; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This notable young Texan graduated from ACMCC on May |
|
|
14, 2021, with an associate degree in pre-nursing, and she plans to |
|
|
continue her studies at West Texas A&M University; an alumna of |
|
|
Dumas High School, she was a recipient of a QUEST scholarship from |
|
|
the Dumas Education Foundation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Citlali Botello has demonstrated a steadfast |
|
|
commitment to academic excellence, and she may reflect with pride |
|
|
on her accomplishments as she looks forward to a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Citlali Botello on her selection as |
|
|
the 2021 Outstanding Student at Amarillo College Moore County |
|
|
Campus and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Botello as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
