R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Payton Berry of Stratford High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction with her performance at the 2021 University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Golf State Tournament; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Berry competed in the 2A division on May 10 and |
|
|
11 at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland; recording a two-round score |
|
|
of 121 on the state meet 27-hole layout, she tied for second in the |
|
|
individual standings, securing a silver medal and pacing the Lady |
|
|
Elks to a fifth-place team finish; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school golfers, Payton Berry has ably represented her school |
|
|
and community, and she will cherish her memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Payton Berry on winning a silver |
|
|
medal in 2A competition at the 2021 UIL Golf State Tournament and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Berry as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
