R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Joe Molinar was elected to represent District 4 on |
|
the El Paso City Council in December 2020; and |
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the duties of his office, Mr. Molinar |
|
will draw on a wealth of valuable experience; he served in the U.S. |
|
Marine Corps, and he went on to enjoy a long career with the El Paso |
|
Police Department; after retiring as the commander for the Crimes |
|
Against Children Unit, he worked as a police officer and department |
|
trainer at the Socorro Independent School District for six years; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Mr. Molinar has given |
|
generously of his time and talents to numerous civic organizations, |
|
including the VFW Post 8919 Auxiliary, the El Paso Neighborhood |
|
Coalition, the Franklin Mountains Wilderness Coalition, and the |
|
Northeast Substance Abuse Coalition; in addition, he is president |
|
of the Castner Heights Neighborhood Association and sergeant at |
|
arms of the Northeast Business Alliance; and |
|
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|
life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |
|
of Joe Molinar will help to make El Paso an even better place in |
|
which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Joe Molinar on his election to the |
|
El Paso City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for a |
|
successful tenure; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Molinar as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
