R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lonna Jackson has been named the assistant dean of |
|
|
Vanguard High School, a new campus in the Mesquite Independent |
|
|
School District that is slated to open in the fall of 2021; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Jackson will draw on a wealth of valuable |
|
|
experience; she taught English for five years before transitioning |
|
|
to Mesquite ISD, where her 16 years of service includes her role as |
|
|
an assistant principal at Mesquite High; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Ms. Jackson has worked |
|
|
tirelessly to foster a supportive learning environment for students |
|
|
and faculty alike; her able leadership has equipped countless young |
|
|
Texans with the tools they need to secure a bright future, and she |
|
|
has also helped teachers reach their full potential through |
|
|
professional learning opportunities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of more than two decades in |
|
|
education, Ms. Jackson has upheld the highest standards of her |
|
|
profession, and she is sure to bring to her new position equal |
|
|
commitment and energy; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lonna Jackson on being named |
|
|
assistant dean of Vanguard High School and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Jackson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
