R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lily deGroot has been named salutatorian of the |
|
|
Class of 2021 at St. Agnes Academy in Houston, and she indeed merits |
|
|
special recognition for receiving this significant honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two |
|
|
top-ranking students in her class, Ms. deGroot demonstrated a |
|
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her |
|
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her years at St. Agnes Academy, Lily deGroot |
|
|
has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|
|
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lily deGroot on being named the |
|
|
salutatorian of the Class of 2021 at St. Agnes Academy and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next |
|
|
exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. deGroot as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
