R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ali Friemel of Groom High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction by winning the bronze medal in the 1A girls' singles |
|
|
competition at the 2021 University Interscholastic League Tennis |
|
|
State Tournament; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, After earning the title of regional champion, |
|
|
Ms. Friemel joined the other top high school players in Texas at the |
|
|
Blossom Tennis Center in San Antonio on May 20 for the state |
|
|
tournament; she turned in an outstanding performance, advancing to |
|
|
the semifinals and claiming third place overall; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school tennis athletes, Ali Friemel has ably represented her |
|
|
school and community, and she will cherish her memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ali Friemel on winning the bronze |
|
|
medal in the 1A girls' singles event at the 2021 UIL Tennis State |
|
|
Tournament and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Friemel as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
