R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Panhandle High School boys' golf |
|
|
team achieved great distinction by winning the 2A bronze medal at |
|
|
the 2021 University Interscholastic League Golf State Tournament; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top 2A competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Legends Golf Course in Kingsland on May 17 and 18, the Panthers |
|
|
turned in an exceptional performance, shooting a combined score of |
|
|
547 over the two days of play to claim third place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Panhandle golfers were paced by Logan McCoid, |
|
|
who carded a total score of 122; he was followed by Wesley Jones at |
|
|
133, Levi McGill at 140, Grayson Davis at 155, and Gauge Hackett at |
|
|
157; the athletes were ably guided by coach Kristi Cameron; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school golfers, the Panhandle Panthers have ably represented |
|
|
their school and community, and they will cherish their memories of |
|
|
this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Panhandle High School boys' |
|
|
golf team on winning the 2A bronze medal at the 2021 UIL Golf State |
|
|
Tournament and extend to the team's players, coaches, and staff |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the Panthers as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
