R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Dr. Robert G. Robinson of West Texas A&M University
  celebrated his 50th anniversary with the TAMU System in 2020; and
         WHEREAS, In 1970, Bob Robinson began his career as an
  assistant county agent in Potter County for the Texas A&M AgriLife
  Extension Service, and he steadily rose through the ranks of the
  organization to become a special assistant to the director of the
  agency; currently, he serves as a part-time professor at WTAMU,
  where he also benefits the campus as an internship coordinator in
  the department of agriculture; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to the university, Dr. Robinson
  has generously volunteered his time and talents as president of the
  Buffalo Club and chair of the Hall of Champions; among his many
  accomplishments, he has been honored with two TAMU System Vice
  Chancellor's Awards in Excellence and four Extension Service
  Superior Service Awards; in addition, WTAMU has established six
  scholarships in his name, including the Bob and Cleo Robinson
  Scholarship for the department of agriculture; and
         WHEREAS, An alumnus of West Texas A&M, Dr. Robinson received
  his bachelor's degree in animal science in 1970, when the school was
  named West Texas State University; he went on to earn a master's
  degree from Texas A&M University, and he holds a doctoral degree
  from Texas Tech University; and
         WHEREAS, Over the past five decades, The Texas A&M University
  System has benefited immeasurably from Dr. Robinson's dedication,
  expertise, and commitment to excellence, and he may indeed reflect
  with pride on his exceptional record of achievement as he continues
  with his important work; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Dr. Robert G. "Bob" Robinson on the
  occasion of his 50th anniversary with The Texas A&M University
  System and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Robinson as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
