R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Campbell Chase of Woodrow Wilson High School in |
|
|
Dallas achieved great distinction by earning two medals at the 2021 |
|
|
University Interscholastic League Swimming & Diving State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top 5A swimmers in Texas at the Blossom |
|
|
Athletic Center in San Antonio on March 2, Ms. Chase turned in an |
|
|
exemplary performance; she captured the gold medal in the 200-yard |
|
|
individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 3.15 seconds, and she |
|
|
collected the bronze medal in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in |
|
|
at 51.03 seconds; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school swimmers, Campbell Chase has ably represented her |
|
|
school and community, and she will cherish her memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Campbell Chase on winning two |
|
|
medals at the 2021 UIL Swimming & Diving State Meet and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Chase as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
