In Memory

of

Saryah Perez

WHEREAS, The family and friends of Saryah Lee'Anna Perez of San Antonio suffered a heartbreaking loss with the death of this cherished little girl on May 9, 2021, at the age of six; and

WHEREAS, Born in San Antonio on October 12, 2014, Saryah was the daughter of Kassandra Mendoza and Julio Garcia and the sister of two brothers, Jayce and Ethan; surrounded by the love of her family, she was also treasured by her grandparents, her aunts and uncles, and her numerous cousins; and

WHEREAS, Saryah adored Jojo Siwa, and she was known to decorate her hair with giant bows just like her idol; she was kind and caring, and she had a vibrant, joyful spirit that drew everyone to her; and

WHEREAS, Although her time on this earth was far too brief, Saryah Perez was a ray of light in the lives of those who held her dear, and they will never forget the abundant happiness that she brought to them; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Saryah Lee'Anna Perez and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her family: to her parents, Kassandra Mendoza and Julio Garcia; to her brothers, Jayce and Ethan; to her grandparents, Cynthia, Eddie, and Rosie; to her aunts, uncles, and cousins; and to all others who mourn her passing; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Saryah Lee'Anna Perez.
