No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require food services establishments to display a poster related to food allergen awareness that meets standards the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) would develop consistent with the United States Food and Drug Administration standards. DSHS would also be required to develop a sample poster.
DSHS and the Health and Human Services Commission indicated the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
