IN RE:
HB781 by Sanford (Relating to the carrying and possession of a handgun by a public junior college school marshal.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Education Code relating to the carrying and possession of a handgun by a public junior college school marshal. The provisions of the bill will not result in a significant fiscal impact to the Community Colleges.
This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The Community Colleges indicate that they may need to update their Concealed Carry Policies related to school marshals, but it is assumed that these costs could be absorbed using existing resources.
