No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require the issuance of expedited death certificates in certain counties if it is both necessary for religious purposes and the decedent's remains will be interred in a foreign country.
Based on information provided by the Health and Human Services Commission and the Department of State Health Services, it is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
