No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Estates Code to require a court that has made a motion to transfer a guardianship to notify the guardian by certified mail to appear and show cause why the guardianship should not be transferred.
The bill would require a court to serve notice on a guardian by certified mail of a hearing on a complaint by the Judicial Branch Certification Commission that the guardian is ineligible to serve due to failure to maintain certification with the Commission.
Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.
