The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code relating to professional liability insurance coverage for and prohibitions on the provision to certain children of procedures and treatments for gender transitioning, gender reassignment, or gender dysphoria. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance, Texas Medical Board, Health and Human Services Commission, and Department of Family and Protective Services, this analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
